THE CHALLENGE: Missing Data and Incomplete Information
One of our clients had purchased two locations within the space of two years, and their existing books were in a mess. They had gone through three accountants and two bookkeepers within one year and needed everything updated quickly for a loan with the bank. Our challenges included missing data, incomplete information, and sporadic communication.
THE SOLUTION: Improved Communication via ZOOM Meetings
We resolved the bookkeeping problem by first ensuring the opening balances were correct. We then familiarized ourselves with the company’s data and communicated continuously with the Operations Manager. As a result, the chart of accounts were streamlined, missing data was found, bank & credit card statements were reconciled. Once everything was current, we scheduled monthly ZOOM meetings with the Operations Manager to address queries and ensure data accuracy. We then followed up quarterly with the Client via ZOOM meetings to review the financial status of the company.
THE BOTTOM LINE
It took us three months to get the bookkeeping completely caught up. Administrative efficiencies were put in place and bookkeeping routines became regulated which resulted in accurate reporting and a well informed Happy Client.
